What does "Transfer of Registrar" mean?

A registrar is the company or organization that registers your unique domain name and keeps a record of it in their files. You can transfer your domain. You will need to contact with the company, which you bought the domain name from them. If you are not the authorized owner of the domain being transferred, please have the owner sign the legal approval form. Transfer of Registrar takes a minimum 7-10 days and there may be a downtime of a day or two.

What can I do if the domain name I want is already taken?

If the domain you want has already been registered by someone else, you may still have an opportunity to get this domain through the secondary market for “used” domain names. You have a few options:

1. Find out if the domain is for sale . How do I verify domain info before initiating a Transfer of Registrar

Before you initiate a Transfer of Registrar, please verify your domain information by following these steps: You may check your domain name status:

Check availability of a domain name or see your domain name creation date .

Creation Date: If your domain was created less than 60 days ago, you cannot transfer the domain. Please wait for the 60 days to pass before initiating a transfer. This is a rule followed worldwide.

Expiration Date: A domain cannot be transferred if it has expired. Please contact your Registrar to renew the domain registration and then initiate a Transfer of Registrar.

Please note: all .org and .info domain transfers require an Auth (Authorization) Code. You should be able to obtain this information from your current Registrar. Please have the Auth Code ready before you initiate a Transfer of Registrar for .info and .org domains.

Why didn't my domain transfer complete successfully?

There are several reasons why a domain transfer may be refused:

1. A transfer of Registrar is not allowed for a domain name within 60 days of registration or within 60 days of a previous transfer.

2. A Registrar can place a lock on a domain name so that a transfer of Registrar can not be completed.

3. The domain name may no longer be live and paid for. Until you renew it with your current Registrar, you can not transfer the domain name. You can see the domain's expiration date on the WHOIS information for the domain.

You can see the domain's WHOIS at http://www.nic.com/nic_info/whois.htm. The status of the domain name should read "Active". The registration and last changed date should also be displayed.

What " Domain Expire " means?

With this option the domain will be deleted from our systems on the appointed date and the corresponding services stopped. However, the domain will remain registered in your name until the end of the (prepaid) registration period and will not be deleted from the appropriate Registry until after this period.
